I have been writing and publishing poetry since 1975, my first book Lyrical Shifts, and many more since. Novels and essay collections followed over the years. A great deal of metaphysics and mysticism were explored in the 2000-2020 period. My latest book of essays is It’s All About Me; and poetry, Music Amuses.
As is the modern habit, I now run a blog, Anotherwordofgord on WordPress, and a video series on Youtube, The Word of Gord.
My interest in Rumi and the other metaphysical poets in the tradition goes back so far, I cannot actually give a starting date. Certainly, the Coleman Barks translations have been influential. And as the first poem testifies, I feel great sympathy for poets and writers who suffer under repressive regimes. In Canada we are blessed.
