Elizabeth Barnes has been writing poems for over 20 years. She has one published book—Giving Into Gravity (2010, In Our Words Inc). She is presently working towards a Certificate in Creative Writing through the University of Toronto’s Continuing Education department. In 2005, she was short-listed for the Writers’ Union of Canada short story contest for her story The Yellow Dahlia. For 20 years she worked for the City of Toronto running fabric art and creative writing programs at a women’s drop-in. Now semi-retired, she is still sewing and writing, and lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
